Do You Suffer From FOMO In Your Trading?

Do you try and force trades and have to get into a trade no matter what the set up or market conditions?  Do you over trade? Has your trading account suffered as a result?

If so, then maybe you suffer from FOMO or Fear Of Missing Out on a market move or trading opportunity.

The markets will be there tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.  So on that basis isn’t it better to trade when you have the time to focus properly on the task in hand and only when there is a 5* set up that meets all your back tested strategy’s criteria.

FOMO can result in over trading and having a resultant detrimental effect on your trading capital.  Better to wait for a decent trade set up to occur, than chase price and try and force trades.

Exercising Patience and Discipline to wait for the really good set ups before entering the market, should enhance your trading results and be a lot less stressful.

You could also try moving up a time frame as well, as that should slow the whole process down a bit and allow you extra thinking/planning time.

Top Trading Tip:  Try and recognise if you are suffering from the symptoms of FOMO and if so, try and address the problem before it kills your trading account.  In other words – Less (trading) really can mean More (profits), when exercised with Patience and Discipline.
